Our Nursery

At Gilderdale we pride ourselves in creating a cosy, home-like space so that children feel comfortable and loved as soon as they walk in the door. We make it a priority to ensure our nursery is inclusive, ensuring that all children thrive. Our converted barn offers a large open space with lovely high ceilings. With natural light and warm lighting to create a calm and welcoming space for children.​Within the barn, there will be space for all children to explore, investigate and relax.

Farm

Based on a working farm

Our children love to explore our fields, woods and streams, were very lucky to be based on a beautiful farm in Alston, Cumbria.

Forest

We have our own forest

Running wild, building dens, making mud and leaf art, learning about creatures and animals that live around us. Forest school learning is endless.

Outdoors

Breath in fresh air

Dry stone walls turn in to fairy castles and green fields turn in to the ocean. Children's imaginations are magical and Outdoor learning is the perfect match for them.
